Abstract
As the world moves towards reducing dependency on fossil fuels, of particular interest to northern communities are the challenges of “Net Zero Carbon” design in cold climates. This topical subject will be covered with examples of recent analysis and projects. Heat Pumps are a particular solution that overcomes the storage issues of solar and wind and so the future of heat pumps will also be discussed.
