Abstract
The presentation describes pulsation and vibration problems in reciprocating compressors, controls for these problems, and the consequences of not implementing those controls. It explores a case study where unusual phenomena occurred on a compressor with inadequate pulsation control, and the steps that were taken in the field to diagnose the problem.
